Born and raised in Columbia, SC, Kitsy graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2005. She received her Bachelors Degree in Studio Art, with a minor in Art History. After graduation, she moved to Seattle, WA where she gained experience working in an art gallery, while continuing to paint in her spare time.

For the last three years Kitsy has lived and painted by the beach in Santa Cruz, CA. Here she enjoys walking the ocean cliffs and watching the waves. In her most recent series of ocean inspired paintings, she concentrates on lush colors and flowing curvilinear forms. Her wave-like shapes flow like water, taking the viewer on a smooth and seamless float around the canvas.

Kitsy’s paintings have been featured on the covers of Columbia’s FreeTimes newspaper, Hilton Head’s Pink magazine, as well as St. Simons Island’s Paisley magazine. Her artwork can be found in private collections across the country including North and South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Washington State, California, Nebraska, Arizona, and Washington, DC.
